Deck Repair

When you fill out the web form or call Deck and Drive Solutions, we will gather some information on the project you are wanting repaired.  Some things you should be prepared to respond with are some basic knowledge and terminology of the troubled areas of your deck.  Please review the deck component drawing to explain the repairs needed before calling.  After receiving information on your project in greater detail, we will determine if Deck and Drive Solutions is a good fit for your needs.

The cost of repairing your deck can greatly vary in price.  As a company that prides itself on taking the best approach to all that we do, we are constantly striving to give you the best options possible for your deck repair.  We are going to give you recommendations on what it will take to repair your deck and make it code compliant to current standards.  We can also give you options to update your deck by either adding on, resurfacing, or rebuilding it.  If you are simply trying to find a “cheap fix” on your deck, Deck and Drive Solutions would not be the company for you.  We take great pride in our work and can not compromise our standards by providing sub par work.

Our main focus of our deck projects are New and Deck Resurface projects versus the smaller projects due to our crew and time frame.  We do have a minimum charge for deck repairs and any other deck projects of $8,000 throughout the main “Iowa Deck Seasons” – Spring/Summer/Fall.  We sometimes can schedule smaller projects during our slower times in the Winter months with a smaller minimum charge (depending on our workload).  If we have built your deck in the past, we will waive the deck repair minimums because we strive to keep our current/past clients with our standard top-notch service along with our attention to detail and high standards of building.

• If the cost of the repair is over 60% of the cost of new construction or just needs a deck resurface
• If the deck has already had one or more major repairs in it’s life
• If the deck is over 15-20 year of age and made of wood decking and or wood railing
• If you are wanting to expand or resize your deck to fit your lifestyle
• If you are planning on staying in this home for 5 years or more
• If you want to increase the marketability of your home (Sell Faster)
• If you are planning on new Ideas of Landscaping or Backyard Renovations in the close future

If you are a prospective buyer of a property or are working with a realtor and would like Deck and Drive Solutions to provide a verbal assessment of the deck project, we can provide you with this service for $100, which will be due at time of scheduled meeting.  This will be a verbal assessment and should only be taken as advice for Liability Reasons.  If the deck has issues at that time or later after our meeting, we will not be held liable for any reasons.  If you would like to get pricing on a new deck or repair the project, we will be happy to give you a quote for this service as well.  We will still charge the $100 service fee, but we will apply that balance if you choose Deck and Drive Solutions as your contractor for your deck project.  The quotes we generate typically take 2 weeks to formalize, please allow for this duration of time when requesting our services.

If you are working with your insurance company on an open claim and wish to have Deck and Drive Solutions quote you for a deck repair, we will be happy to provide this service to you for $100.00.  This fee will be applied toward the balance due if you choose Deck and Drive Solutions as your Contractor.
