This new deck stayed the same size as the original deck. It was made with wood which was painted then had built-in benches around the perimeter. The main thing the homeowner’s did not like about the original layout was it was split level in the middle, which was hard to furnish because it broke the outdoor living areas into (2) small areas. The new design was to have the deck all one level and to remove the wood maintenance out of the equation. We decided to build a new 31’x17′ deck all one level. Because of the length we decided to add (1) picture frame in the middle to add some custom design to the deck. We then decided to have the rail semi-match the front porch painted railing. The railing we chose was Timbertech’s Evolution Railing in White. The decking was low-maintenance PVC Capped Composite Decking from Timbertech and the color was Terrain – Sandy Birch which goes great with the house color. The homeowner’s were great to work with and this new maintenance free deck will be enjoyed by this growing family for many years to come.
